Summer fun at UC Beloit

(from Pastor Carol Taylor) United Church of Beloit has had a great summer. The annual "Book Bag Bash" in which we partner with 12 churches to distribute school supplies to needy families went very well. We hold the event at a park, another church serves free lunch, and there are games and a dunk tank. Local fire and police came too, to talk to the kids.

We held a 2nd "Greek Night" with authentic Greek supper made by a parishioner's Dad. Gyros, fries, Baklava for dessert. Lots of folks from the community joined our church folks for a lovely outdoor supper.

in October we celebrate 5 years since the merger, the becoming United Church! We'll have a special service on Reformation Sunday to commemorate both the Reformation anniversary and our own!
